The 2nd largest city in Norway.

That sounds amazing for a person from Madrid. But the whole population of Norway is the same living in Madrid so...

Even though Bergen doesn't seem as big as I thought, there are many chances of having fun and getting cultural and social involved there.

Bryggen is the best-known monument in the city. That gives an idea of how the city is. The "centrum" is a small area of Bergen, based on colorful wooden houses.

There are also many ancient building that are well-worth seeing, like the Cathedral, or the museum, the university, the theater...

Bergen is placed between 7 mountains. The nearest one is called Floyen, and it is a recommended place to go. You can go by walk or take a "train" that drives you up to the view point (40€ one way). From there you can see the whole city and enjoy the nature from inside.

The best part of Bergen, from my point of view, is walking down its ancient streets, where you feel like if you were back in 17th century. This is not a cheap city, but you should try to join Norwegian people and have fun in the way they do.

Tourism is not just looking at the buildings. You should try to learn what the people from that place do, feel, think. This is the only way of travelling.
