The countdown, again, to Erasmus

Yes guys, you can do it again. Before it was fashionable to go again when there had been places left and you were able to go back. As I understand it is no longer allowed to receive the grant again but of course there are always exceptions.

But mine is another story. It is one about those who apply for all of the scholarships and we say: "I'll apply but I'll wait and see". Lies! In the end you go and this time when I go back I am in the absolute minority. Last year around this time I was arranging my papers to go to Buenos Aires for a 5 month exchange and, as I said before, Spanish students there are a minority among the Americas, Mexicans, Central Americans and Chileans.

And here I am again, a minority. This time in Europe and with the Erasmus experience, of which I heard nothing more about on my return from my Erasmus in Catania in 2008. But it seemed impossible for me to get it. Imagine, only 18 grants for a university of more than 16, 000 students. That's not a lot, right? But seeing what they cost (€€€€) I'm already trying to justify it to myself. Just yesterday they sent me more documentation from the University of Jaén, not to mention the significant amount of costs. I don't understand how a return flight, 3 months of accommodation with expenses and a company that looks for a job for you can cost as much money as it does. But anyway, it will be worth it for sure.

And just like that, within 13 days I will be in Northern Ireland, cold and wet watching the cloudy days go by and giving as good as I get with the English and with Guinness. After all, that's what it's all about. Time for the finishing touches!
