In this article I want to tell you about our boat trip in Batumi, which was a great thing. However, it was not as interesting and exciting as it was in Copenhagen or Cambridge. I guess, it's because there you go through the canals of the city and here in Batumi you only have that seaside, where you can have a boat trip. Though it was really lovely watching the shore from the sea and enjoying the view.

So, it was this summer when we all went to Batumi for sightseeing or just hanging out together. It was then, when we decided to go to that Batumi boat trip and I must say that it was my first time on that boat trip. While some others had already experienced it, I wondered how it would be like, I mean, it was a seaside.

To be honest, it’s not that very interesting to go on boat trips when the place is not full of some canals like in Amsterdam or Copenhagen. It’s really refreshing when you get on the board and feel the waves of the sea or the ocean and you are just kind of relaxed there. It’s like you forget everything else and you just enjoy the ride.

Batumi is a city in western Georgia which is located on the Black Sea shore. It’s a very popular city during the summer time because many tourists go there. It has recently been renovated and it’s really beautiful with its paved roads and cycling lanes, etc.

How to get to the boat trip

You should go towards the Batumi Tower, which is the alphabet tower, as they call it. It’s in the end of the Batumi Boulevard, which is a pretty good place to hang out.

You will see the large fairy wheel and there’s a whole park around it, where many people move around. From there you can see a tower lighter which is lit red and where usually the boats gather. There are many boats around that harbor, you can ask them which one goes on a boat trip sooner or you can just get to the one that you like.

It usually costs 20 Laris each person to get on the boat trip.

You should go on a boat trip at night, because the lit Batumi is pretty wonderful to see from the shores of the Black Sea, while it’s not that beautiful in the daylight.

Usually it lasts for about half an hour to be on a boat trip and the boat goes along the shore just like the Batumi Boulevard.

The boat is usually open with no doors, so there are rugs and large towels to put on you if you are cold. They also have some pretty good puffs on the boat and some drinks and karaokes and tables and benches, so that everyone can be comfortable there.
