Mount desert island

One of the most beautiful beaches in world

Published by flag-ro Naomi Toma — 6 years ago

The Mount desert island is situated in Main, which is quite close to Canada and it presents the most beautiful beaches in the world where sea and clouds collide. Indeed, as the temperature goes lower, there are more and more clouds covering the beaches.

The stunning fact is that there are firs all around the beach as if you were on top of a mountain and giving you a Christmas feeling when in fact, you're at the sea level. People come from all over the world to see those beaches.

On top of the mountain in the Acadia national park which is on the Mount desert island, there's a popular spot from where you can see the sunrise from above the clouds. The place is crowded with tourists every morning at 5AM. The mountain is above the clouds and it takes your breath away when you see the sun rising from above the clouds.

It's really cold so I suggest you to :

- Take winter clothes with you as well as scarfs because the wind is insane.

- Do not forget your camera

- Grab some coffee on the way

A food speciality in Maine is lobster. You can find fresh local lobsters for very cheap and at pretty much every restaurant.

Another thing you can do on Mount desert island is to go whale watching. They also have an option "sunset whale watching" for photography amators. The whales' jump is pretty impressive. Obviously it's not free (around $80-$90 per person per trip) and you must not be sea sick as the boat goes very far into the ocean so the trip is quite long. But it's once in a life time so you should  give it a try.
