What is it like to live in Bangkok? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Bangkok is the biggest city in Thailand which is full of interesting things such as Thai culture, food, gentle people and entertainment. You will be surprised of how gentle Thai people are, this is why Thailand is called Land of smile.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bangkok?

We study hard like other countries but the only difference is that there are so many cheap yummy street foods. You can buy them anytime at really cheap price.

How much does it cost to live in Bangkok?

It is not as expensive as other developed countries. Accommodation is around 7000-10000 baht, food and transportation is about 3000-5000 baht so you need around over 15000 baht per month.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bangkok? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not difficult to find accommodation as many universities have dorms and there are many apartments in Bangkok.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food in Bangkok is great because there are various types of food at very cheap price. My favorite dishes are Massaman curry and Pat-thai( fried noodles).

What places would you recommend visiting in Bangkok?

Siam square, there are many shops for young people so you can see Thai fashion trends by just go there.

Is it good to eat out in Bangkok? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are many good Thai restaurants which is full of tourists in Ekamai road, if you want to eat local dishes, I recommend you to go to Chatuchak or Floating markets. Actually there are many street foods along the roads so basically, you can eat out anywhere.

Is the nightlife good in Bangkok? Where is good to go?

The nightlife in Bangkok is great. Khaosan road is full of interesting nightlife, there are clubs in Rama 9 RCA area, many nice bars in Thonglor road.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bangkok?

Traffic in Bangkok is bad so you better leave early, it is normal that you get stuck in the traffic for 2 hours.
