What is it like to live in Bangkok? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The word that would describe Bangkok would be.. busy lively and fun!. Bangkok is a very busy city with 7. 5 million people but small area. Living in Bangkok is getting easier as there are a lot of mean to commute in the city. There are BTS (sky train), MRT (underground), buses, taxis and motorcycle taxis available. Living in Bangkok can be stressful like other big cities but you can be ensured that you will find everything here in Bangkok

What is the student lifestyle like in Bangkok?

It depends on what they like. Schools start quite early (at around 8 AM) and finish at around 4 PM. Students can hang out after schools, play sports or do some shopping.

How much does it cost to live in Bangkok?

It depends on many factors; types of accommodation, areas and lifestyle. The cost can be from 15000 Baht upwards.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bangkok? Is there any advice you can give?

It's not that difficult to find accommodation but if you know some Thais that would be easier. I don't have particular websites but you can search in Google I suppose.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is delicious as in other places of Thailand. But in Bangkok, there are more varieties like western food or other asian food. Of course Mc.Donalds, KFC, Burger King and other fast food chains are found all over the city

What places would you recommend visiting in Bangkok?

Grand Palace, the Emerald Buddha, other nice temples and museums.

Is it good to eat out in Bangkok? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

The best part of living in Bangkok is eating out. My favorite spot is at Kaosan Road.

Is the nightlife good in Bangkok? Where is good to go?

It's fun to go out, there are many good places to do such as Kaosan Road (where foreigners love going), RCA, Eakamai etc.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bangkok?

I would recommend future students to get to know some Thai friends maybe via facebook or other social network before coming to Bangkok as they might them some good advice.
