What is it like to live in Bangkok? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Bangkok is another busy city. Do not expect anything super fancy there. The transportation can greatly consume your time. So, I suggest you live near the public transportation like subway (MRT) and skytrain (BTS). They make things much easier for you to commute around. Do not rely on any transportation mode that runs on the road except when you're not in the rush. You cannot predict the time there. Whenever you have to use the road, set the time well!

What is the student lifestyle like in Bangkok?

Students also work hard although they don't really spend much time in the library. Some will go for nightlife while some will just go and eat out with friends in late evening. "Siam square" is the most popular place for students to hang out.

How much does it cost to live in Bangkok?

Relatively cheap but... as a local, I think the price is getting higher these days. Some restaurants located in department stores are expensive. However, if you're from Europe or the US or any country with high purchasing power, living in Thailand wouldn't hurt you at all. The cost of living in the city center or business area is relatively higher than the outskirt part of Bangkok.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bangkok? Is there any advice you can give?

There are many websites where you can have a look at. Getting an accommodation in Bangkok is easy as long as you have money.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

When you're in Thailand, you must leverage this opportunity by eating Thai food! There are lots and lots of food cart on street. So, try street food in Thailand. "Pad Thai" is a dish you can find almost in every corner of the street. I really like this dish and would like to recommend any beginner in Thai food to try. It's a good start to get to know how Thai food is like.

What places would you recommend visiting in Bangkok?

Old town area and river front (the area around The Emerald Buddha Temple)

Go there and you will see lots and lots of things. It's an old charm of Bangkok. There, you can visit the historical sites while appreciating the view of river front! There are many cool cafes and restaurants near the river. Make sure you try them!

Is it good to eat out in Bangkok? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Eating out is very very very common in Thailand though home cook is cheaper. As said, Thailand is not expensive. So, whenever you feel you want to dine in some beautiful places or even go to street food, just follow your heart.

However, a small caution tho! When going for street food, don't forget to look at the hygiene as well. Have a look at their cutting board, kitchen towel (is it very dirty? ), and utensils. Getting diarrhea is not good.
