What is it like to live in Bangkok? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Bangkok is a nice city to live and stay. There are many unique architectures around the city, many activities to do and many places to visit. I'd recommend it to whoever is interested in Asian culture and also consist of international cultures within only one city.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bangkok?

It really depends on the university you are studying. There are many popular universities in central bangkok and students are relatively more competitive than students in less-popular universities. However, the student lifestyles are very different but overall educated.

How much does it cost to live in Bangkok?

Bangkok is a little bit more expensive than other provinces in Thailand but relatively much cheaper than the capital cities of many countries.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bangkok? Is there any advice you can give?

No. You can always find accommodations and dorms closed to the universities around Bangkok. They are affordable and not very expensive.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Thai dishes are known and famous in spiciness. They are mostly spicy and very healthy food. We normally eat rice with everything and noodle is normally found in every part of the city.

My favorite dishes are:

What places would you recommend visiting in Bangkok?

Many famous places for tourists are Wat Po and Wat Prakaew (Grand Palace) which are both temple. Siam Paragon, Siam Square and many big shopping malls in the same area. Floating market, Chinatown and many other interesting places.

Is it good to eat out in Bangkok? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yeah. It's good to eat out and food here is not expensive. It's very common to find street restaurants along the roadsides. My favourite spots are Tha Prachan, Kaosarn and Wanglang at daytime. Chinatown and Sukhumvit at night as there are many international restaurants and bars.

Is the nightlife good in Bangkok? Where is good to go?

Yes. There are several famous areas to go out at night, such as, Sukhumvit, Kaosarn, and Thonglor consists of many bars, pubs and restaurants.

What advice would you give future students headed to Bangkok?

You'll enjoy and it's quite safe here. People are nice and friendly even though somebody cannot speak English well. For security, if you practice basic precautions and common sense for safety, there's nothing to be worried about.
