What is it like to live in Bangkok? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Well, in Bangkok, something 's very different from any of capital city, there are many kinds of lifestyles, depending on the location too. As everyone knows, Bangkok is dangerous. Well, I can tell you that is it not that dangerous actually. If you take care of your things, nothing will happen. It is alive 24 hours. You can easily find food, pub, bar, etc for 24 hours. Also some places are so acttactive that you won't believe your eyes.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bangkok?

Well, talking as a Thai student. Most of us are going to take a extra course (including me). I know it is strange but this is what we do. The strangest thing is we don't work officially when we are teenagers. We only study :/. I think that's because of low cost of living in Thailand. Anyway we also do something fun after hard study. Some who like to ride the bicycle we call them 'Wan&sakoi' something like bad children which you can call jerk too. But if you come to Bangkok as a foreigner student, you would get a warm welcome from Thai students. They really love foreigner students; )

How much does it cost to live in Bangkok?

It is cheap for the foreigners. If you're economic, well you could pay no more than 300 Baths per day(It is the Thai standard cost of living). From my house to go to the centre, 20 kms, I pay for the bus about 25 baths and then the BTS is 42 Baths to go to Siam station.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bangkok? Is there any advice you can give?

Not that difficult but if they know you are a foriegner, of course they will ask you for more. Anyway try to learn the Thai language as much as you can.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Something spicy. But you can tell them not to. My favorite dish is Tom-Kha-Kai. This is very delicious and not that spicy.

What places would you recommend visiting in Bangkok?

Lebua state, it is the best BKK sight seeing but it has too expensive cost for food and you have to book more than 1 week ago to get the table on the roof top but you will fall in love with Bangkok's sunset view. ( good for a photographer) In Kao-San road, there are cheap foods, bars, clubs, cheap hotels, pubs, many backpackers and tourists, near the most famous temple and many touristic places to visit. Also the riverside boat in Bangkok where they serve you buffet dinner and take you around Bangkok by boat. After finishing your food they give you a little disco dance on the boat.
