What is it like to live in Antalya? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
The city is by the Mediterranean sea and has a warm climate. Summers are very hot, spring and autumn is great, and there is no snow in the winter. Between April and October, you can swim. It's a relax city to live if you compare to İstanbul or Ankara.
How much does it cost to live in Antalya?
It's not as expensive as other big cities in Turkey. You can find cheap accommodation and food. Transportation is OK if you have a student card. Winter is not that cold, so again heating will be cheaper then İstanbul or Ankara.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Antalya? Is there any advice you can give?
You can find good flats around the university or near the city center, most students live at shared flats and you can stay at hostels with reasonable prices until you find a flat.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
You can get cheap vegetable and fruit at bazaar. You can find many restaurant at malls. There are some places famous with meatball.
What places would you recommend visiting in Antalya?
Antalya has a rich antic history. The old city has some architectures from Seljuk, and the place itself is historical with a small marina. And from east towns to west towns, there are many antic cities by the sea. East part of Antalya is a bit full of hotels. So west part is still stay natural, and you can prefer camping or staying at wooden houses. If you love trekking there is a Lycian Way between Antalya and Fethiye with different parkour options.
Is the nightlife good in Antalya? Where is good to go?
Th university has a big campus, and most places to hang out are in the city center, in the Old City there are pubs, clubs and cafes with live music according to every taste.
