Kemer is a small coastal tourist city, located on the Mediterranean coast on the edge of the Taurus Mountains and extends over an area of 53 km from the beach. Kemer is about 40 km from the center of Antalya and is connected by a road along the coast. The word "Kemer" in Arabic means "belt" is famous for its tourist resorts, hotels and sandy beaches surrounded by mountains and green hills.
Until the mid-1980s, Kemer was a small, quiet village, but it is now a world-famous tourist city in the Antalya region thanks to the huge investment and resorts built on its beaches. The climate of this city is generally hot and humid in summer and mild in winter and its water is relatively warm even in winter, the city is characterized by its natural beauty with blue waters, bays and mountains covered with pine trees and quiet atmosphere and contains many restaurants, cafes, night clubs and parks in addition to the port of boats, gardens and playgrounds for children to serve all falsely alike.
Near Kemer are several coastal villages, the Olympus Teleferic, and the ancient city of Faselis, and the road itself is a pleasure to pass along the beach and on the edge of the towering Taurus Mountains. It is the ideal place to spend the summer vacation and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature, as Antalya is less than an hour away and there is a bus line continuously between them and Antalya.
Kemer is home to many luxury hotels and resorts, and is an important tourist destination for many tourists from Europe and Russia. And almost life depends on winter in its dependence on tourism in general, and closes the majority of its large hotels to wait for the summer where life comes to life.
Amidst the beaches surrounded by mountains and green hills, the waters shine with its unusual purity in the town of Kemer, giving divers a unique experience, to closely observe many species of marine creatures.
The city is at the forefront of diving centers in Turkey, where it has about 20 schools to teach this sport, and the practice of about 600 people to dive there daily.
Sea creatures in Kemer vary in bright colors such as turtles, flatfish, rare rabbits, dragon fish, octopus and squid, as well as beautiful colorful coral reefs, as well as hidden underwater caves that open to divers.
The sunken French warship "Paris 2" is one of the most important dive sites not only in Kemer but in the world, where it attracts thousands of diving enthusiasts annually.
The ruins of the French warship were discovered in 1955, and have since become a favorite place for diving enthusiasts and underwater photography enthusiasts, with a length of 50 meters, 8 meters wide, weighing more than 550 tons, as well as 6 anti-aircraft missiles, as well as two missiles Torpedo model.
