What is it like to live in Angers? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Angers is a really nice city to live in, not too big but still a lot of things to do.

How much does it cost to live in Angers?

The accommodation costs between 300 (minimum i think) and 400 euros for basic student flat, then the current expenses are not too expensive though i would be unable to give an estimation.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Angers? Is there any advice you can give?

It wasn't hard at all for me: i used the website Le bon coin, there are pretty good deals (for most of them you deal directly with the owner, so no extra cost), just be careful if there is no phone number, it might be a scam.

What places would you recommend visiting in Angers?

There plenty of churches, abbeys, etc., but also great parks (Lac de Maine, Etang Saint Nicolas) and the site of the ex-quarries near Trelaze is awesome. It is worth going a little bit outside of the city centre or even out of Angers.

Is it good to eat out in Angers? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Creperie La Cremaillere (rue Bressigny).

What advice would you give future students heading to Angers?

When you choose your accommodation, be aware that there is (for now) only one tram line and the bus service is not very developed everywhere.
