What is it like to live in Angers? Would you recommend it? What is the town like?

I was a student for 4 years in Angers and I definitely recommend this city not just for the night life, but for its great atmosphere and it's easy accesibility. There are lots of places where you can meet with friends, do sport, walking and discovering the town is really fun!

What is the student life like in Angers?

There are a huge amount of students in Angers, which you will especially be able to see on a Thursday night in the city centre. Also, there are lots of restaurants and bars that do 'Happy Hour' which is great for students. All the students, no matter what nationality, join together to party.

Is it expensive living in Angers?

I don't think it is personally, you can get anything you need even if some things are more expensive.

Is it hard to find accommodation in Angers?

It isn't difficult to find accommodation in Angers, if you start looking early enough. There are numerous student residencies and they are great for international students.

What is the food like there? What are your favourite dishes?

There are all sorts of different foods in Angers, you can find everything there which is pretty cool because you can discover new cuisines and styles. I do recommend one restaurant: la Tapas 100 balles which has a cosy ambiance and serves great food.

What places do you recommend to go and visit in Angers?

I recommend going to see the castle at least once because Angers is famous for its castle. The parks are really lovely there too.

What advice would you give to future Erasmus students going to Angers?

Enjoy yourself, there is good reason to go there and discover the town, you won't be disappointed I'm sure of it!
