Why did you choose to go to Amsterdam, the Netherlands?
I chose Amsterdam because out of the destinations my university offered to me, it was the most attractive and the cheapest to live in.
How long is the scholarship for? How much money do you receive as aid?
I was lucky enough to be there for a year but I don't really remember the amount of money. I just remember it wasn't a lot.
How is student life in Amsterdam?
It depends a lot on the environment you move around in and where your residence/room is. However it's easy to find good places.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Amsterdam to other students?
Yes.
How is the country's food?
It's not a country characterised by its gastronomy...
Did you find it hard to find accommodation in Amsterdam?
My university of origin organised it.
How are living costs in Amsterdam?
It's not an expensive city. You get everywhere by bike and then food isn't very expensive either. However meat and vegetables are more expensive than in Spain.
How is the language? Did you go to any courses at the University?
I went and tried it three times. I gave up trying. It's a complicated language and not at all beautiful.
What is the most economical way of getting to Amsterdam from your city?
By plane.
Which places would you recommend to go out and party in Amsterdam?
Rembrandtplein y Leidseplein.
And to eat in Amsterdam? Can you name your favourite places?
I don't have favourite places.
And as a cultural visit?
The free tours from Dam square.
Any advice that you want to give to future students in Amsterdam?
That they enjoy it!
