I chose Amsterdam because of the University and the course. I also wanted to experience a new city and a new culture. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

What is the student lifestyle like in Amsterdam?

Student lifestyle is nice and chill. There is a lot of partying if you are into that. Every student that I have met is really friendly. It is a nice environment.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Amsterdam to other students?

Yes, I would definitely recommend, it is such an amazing experience.

What is the food like?

Pastries and Fries are delicious... Beware, you will put on some kilos while living here.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Amsterdam?

Yes, it did.

How much does it cost to live in Amsterdam?

It depends on what you are looking for and where but I would say 400-600 is a reasonable price.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are many courses you can take. But the language for me personally is quite difficult.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Amsterdam from your city?

Bike Bike Bike! Go to Waterlooplein and buy a second hand bike.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Amsterdam?

Chicago Social Club/ Melkweg/ Sugar Factory.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank, Vondlepark and many more!
