Would you recommend the city and the University of Amsterdam to other students?

I would recommend the city of Amsterdam if you are ready to ride your bike everyday and share a flat with 3 people for 450euros.

What is the food like?

You will not find easily "Netherlands" food. There are many "Italians", "Mexican", "Turkish" restaurants. The food is quite expensive. For example, a simple hamburger in a restaurant in dam square can cost 12euros. From the other hand, you can find a great variety of foods in the supermarket.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Amsterdam?

It didn't cost me to find accommodation, but it took me 1. 5 months to find a place, and I know a lot of people who couldn't find a place and they were leaving in hostels or other cities near Amsterdam (for example Rotterdam).

How much does it cost to live in Amsterdam?

For my room I pay 550e, with no registration and 2 other roommates.

Public transports costs me 3e to come and go from work (the distance is 5km to go).

I bought a bicycle for 60e, and a chain for 20e, these prices are good.

Food is expensive but it also depends from where you are shopping. Supermarkets like "lidl" are cheap.

Beer is also cheap, but in general drinks are expensive.
