Why did you choose to go to Amsterdam, Netherlands?

Because Amsterdam was the only capital city in my list of possibles destinations

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

in Hogeschool Tio (my university) was 4 month for semester.

You need a good amount of money if you want to live there without be worried all the time

What is the student lifestyle like in Amsterdam?

I was in a residence full of students so for me it was all the time with people doing things outside or just playing cards or games in the rooms

Would you recommend the city and the University of Amsterdam to other students?

Absoluetly

What is the food like?

Not so good, the meat above all is not a really good quality but it’s soooo expensive.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Amsterdam?

A lot... It’s really difficult and I would recommend to everyone to talk to an agency to help you to find a place to live.

How much does it cost to live in Amsterdam?

A lot...

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I was studying in English but trying to learn Dutch and I think that is so difficult to learn but everyone talks English in Holland.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Amsterdam from your city?

Plane

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Amsterdam?

In Rembrantplein or Leidsplein (Melkweg is a really nice club)

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Amsterdam?

Wok to Walk was so nice and cheap

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Rotterdam is interesting to visit because it’s so different in comparison the other Holland cities like Utrecht or Amsterdam

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Amsterdam in the future?

Buy a waterprof jacket because it will rain always but it won’t be enough for bring an umbrella
