Exploring the City

We were not expecting to pay for the whole month's rent straight away and therefore had to find a secure cash point to withdraw money. The exchange rate at an ATM is atrocious! Less than 1 euro for 1 pound.

We realised we didn't have the luxury of saying no, so we agreed to pay the whole rent. Then with the help of Google Translate, we were able to communicate the few issues we had with the flat. Over the next few days the issues were gradually resolved. After this we felt like a huge weight had been lifted off our shoulders!

On Wednesday 31st August we had a chilled day getting used to our flat and the area around it. We managed to do a small food shop but decided to go out for dinner. A mere 5 minute walk from our flat was a beautiful outdoor spanish restaurant that served an array of delicious tapas. We decided to get 3 different tapas each so that we could get a taste of everything. This was by far one of the best tapas restaurants we have experienced, well worth the money.

The evening was followed by a spanish musician playing and singing a song with his guitar outside the restaurant for the customer's entertainment. We then leisurely strolled back to our flat as satisfied customers with full bellies.
