Ahmedabad is famous for its food & " KHANIPINI" . You will find every kind of cuisine. my favourite dish is pav-bhaji , panipuri , South Indian.

no there is no nightlife in Ahmedabad as it is a dry state.

if you are going to make your future & not coming for party then it is recommendable. as Ahmedabad has one of the best management school IIM , & CEPT for architecture , NIFT Gandhinagar for fashion, GNLU for law & universities like NIRMA , Silver Oak etc. which is good for engineering
