What is it like to live in Ahmedabad? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

City is peaceful, but Not for night animals....
For locals Drinking is alcohol is Prohibited But For foreigners its liberal.
You will get variety of foods here but Indian style.

How much does it cost to live in Ahmedabad?

Depends on your life style..

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ahmedabad? Is there any advice you can give?

There are not general hostels but Universities does have many...
But better option is to hire and apartment with other students..

What places would you recommend visiting in Ahmedabad?

Kankaria lake, Mosque ,Vastrapur lake, mahatma gandhi Ashram etc.

Is the nightlife good in Ahmedabad? Where is good to go?

Nope ! No clubs

What advice would you give future students heading to Ahmedabad?

In summer, you are going to die, as even I can not bear 45 degree 'c
