What is it like to live in Ahmedabad? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Ahmedabad is a slow city as compared to other metropolitan cities in India. If you are a foodie and architect then yes you should visit this city.otherwise not much, no nightlife at all.
What is the student lifestyle like in Ahmedabad?
Everything is cheap, the city is well connected because of it's public transport. As well as there are lots of options for room renting too. Pretty much for a student to dwell into this city.
How much does it cost to live in Ahmedabad?
Not much, 10,000 INR per month excluding room rent for students.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ahmedabad? Is there any advice you can give?
Yes you need to search a bit, I dont know about AirBnB and hostels in Ahmedabad, but if you search of a day or two in city then you can easily find a cheap place to stay.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Food is yum!. Try muglaai food and kababs of old City. Fafda, gathiya, khaman, maskabun is the novelty. And yes don't miss out on having the kitli chai(tea) .
What places would you recommend visiting in Ahmedabad?
Heritage walk, hustle bustle of old City, Ravivari, Sabarmati riverfront, the step wells, and lots more, which you would explore on your own, once you reach the city.
Is it good to eat out in Ahmedabad? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Bhatair gali,Irani restaurant, la'bella, z.k., Sandwichworkzz, IIM lane, govardhan thad etc.
Is the nightlife good in Ahmedabad? Where is good to go?
Nope not much..go get some chai and muskabun Irani cafe.
What advice would you give future students heading to Ahmedabad?
Go to the city and find on your own..what suits you the best..
