What is it like to live in Accra? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It can be fun but sometimes stressful if you want to move to the city centre. Yes because it has all the facilities to make you comfortable. The city of Accra is very bubbly and lively. lots to drink and eat if you have money.

What is the student lifestyle like in Accra?

Very fun.

How much does it cost to live in Accra?

On the average it depends on whether you prefer cooking or eating outside. But shouldn't cost more than 100 to 150 euros a month on food. There are also lots of student accommodation in the city of Accra

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Accra? Is there any advice you can give?

No..If you are a student in any of the Universities in Accra, you can make do with those provided by the Universities or as a Ghanaian colleagues to help you find accommodation.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Very delicious but a bit spicy. Ghana has Jollof, banku and fufu with any kind of soup. Yam and Plantain (Ampesi).

What places would you recommend visiting in Accra?

The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and the beaches

Is it good to eat out in Accra? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes it good to eat out because there are a lot of good restaurants in the city. Local eatery called 'chop bars'

Is the nightlife good in Accra? Where is good to go?

Very good. There are many clubs and drinking spots allover Accra.

What advice would you give future students heading to Accra?

Have fun and make some local friends. You won't regret it.
