Experience in Aalborg University, Denmark by Robert

Generally, what is Aalborg University like?

AAU is the heart of Northern Jutland, Denmark. It is a vivid student city of 120000 inhabitants and about 28000 students, (compromised of about 2000 international students only from AAU. ) AAU pursues practical education and less theoretical, believing in the effective education of group-work.

What are the facilities like?

At first its like entering maze. The university has about 20000 students, so its kind of large at first glance. Its a modern and young university, where the buildings look alike.

What are the tutors like?

Seemingly nice, but useless. (No offense if u're a tutor from AAU reading this)

Are the lessons easy in Aalborg University?

In comparison with the other educational systems I've experienced in South-Africa, Germany and Hungary, I can say its a piece of cake. A man with charisma and skills can get further than a book-worm. But studying is still important.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

As a tutor of AAU, there are countless programs for the undergraduates: mainly non-stop party marathons for weeks.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

AAU is a research based university and it is the 5th strongest in Denmark, as well as in the top 400 universities in the world (THE, QS. ) From my perspective it is a place where those who strive to maintain knowledge can do it easily, while passing is also very easy.

Are there any stories you can share?

There are some stories but not worth mentioning. The greatest story is the one you make for yourself.
