What is it like to live in Tunis? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in tunis can be a great experience with its friendly people and its mediterranean lifestyle. The city is divided into 4 areas and the best place is the marsa/sidi bou said/carthage zone.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tunis?

Tunisian students go to university from monday to friday and go for a drink to marsa/gammarth during the weekend, they also love going to the restaurant or for a simple coffee shop.

How much does it cost to live in Tunis?

  • Sandwich : 4tnd(2 euros)
  • Pizza : 5 euros
  • Beer in a pub : 3-4 euros
  • 10km in a taxi : 5 euros
  • Dinner at a restaurant : 15 euros
  • Dinner at the fast food : 3-4 euros
  • Bottle of wine : 5-7
  • What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

    The tunisian food is delicious, from typically mediterranean to berber. The traditional food is the best ( couscous, shakshouka, mlokheya, brik, salad mechouia) and the quality of the fruits and vegetables is perfect, there is very good fish also.
