I stayed there 6 months and I had in total 2500 euro.

What is the student lifestyle like in Firenze?

Many students are going to aperitivos and trips with students organisations. But try to look for your own ways, and dig for unusual places and people.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Firenze to other students?

Yes, especially if you are interested in Art, Architecture, History.

There are many restaurants, but try these that are hidden and have their own vibe.

How much does it cost to live in Firenze?

Too much. Shops: Esselunga, Coop make a social card for discounts. When you want to buy something on the markets/mercato's always try to get the lowest price.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, there is CLA, you will receive UNIFI guide and there are all of the useful information.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Firenze from your city?

Plane to Bologna, then Blablacar or train with trenitalia.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Firenze?

I recommend:

  • Babylon.
  • Tenax (expensive but good DJ's).
  • Blue Velvet.
  • Moyo.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Firenze?

Which good cultural sites are there to visit?

Oh dear, try to look for what you are interested in, many museums, exibitions, etc.

Is any other advice that you could give to students going to Firenze in the future?

Try your own way! In the first week just go out and get lost, don't be afraid! After walking 100 kms you will know the city and you will know the places that you will come back to, have fun!
