What is it like to live in Zilina? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Zilina is one of the bigger city up to north in Slovakia, around the city are mountains, that is good for hiking for example. We have a good public transportation so it is easy to get to University.

What is the student lifestyle like in Zilina?

For Erasmus Students it would be great. We have dormitores where you can have a lot of fun. I met Erasmus students from Spain, Italy, France, Balkan countries. We are quite cheap country for west countries so that is plus, you can save money.

How much does it cost to live in Zilina?

For students it is not so much. What I heard, dormitory for months cost something around 100 € and the meals in mensa cost random 2-2,50 €. It depends on you much do you spend money normal lunch in restaurant cost 3,50 - 5 €. Beer - 1 - 1,20 €, Borovička(like vodka) - 1-1,50 €.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Zilina? Is there any advice you can give?

There are dormitories so I recommend to stay there cause there is a lot of parties and all student live happens around the dormitory, all students live here.
