Erasmus Student in Yalova City
Yalova is the smallest Turkish state with a total area of 839 square kilometers. Located in the northwestern part of Turkey. Despite its small size, it is a favorite tourist destination for many tourists to the beauty of its charming tourist areas.
Some of the most popular places to visit in Yalova are:
1 - Karaca Arboretumu
It is a land purchased by the farmer "Haji Khalil Karaca" in 1948 to plant poplar trees, In 1970 his son, Khairuddin Karaca, transformed it into a beautiful garden, bringing together different flora and fauna from Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, making it a paradise of the earth's gardens. In 1980 she was named "Karaca Arboritomo" and opened to visit people. It is 5 km from Yalova city center.
2 - Sudusen waterfalls
The Sudusen Waterfall is 12 km from Yalova city center and is located in Termal and between Samanlı Mountains. The waterfall is surrounded by trees and green plants. It is recommended that you avoid swimming in the months when the waterfall is abundant. You can also walk around and explore the surrounding area, hiking and camping and doing sports activities such as aerobics.
3 - Yalova Hot Springs
It is located 12 km from the center of Yalova, Turkey's most famous therapeutic springs are the only gold-quality springs in Turkey. The water is renowned for its purity and the possibility of drinking without concern, a haven for patients seeking treatment for nearly 2000 years.
Its water temperature ranges from 55 to 65 degrees Celsius, and treats many neurological, skin, digestive, urinary, rheumatoid and other diseases. The resort also has a gym, swimming pools, men's baths and women's baths, which are run directly by the Ministry of Health.
4 - Erikli plateau
It is located on the outskirts of Yalova state near the Sudusen waterfall 600 meters above sea level.
It has a charming nature surrounded by forests from all sides, and the Erekeli waterfall has an exquisite beauty in the lap of this nature. You can also do many activities such as camping, hiking and hiking around the area.
5- Dipsiz Lake
Consisting of two beautiful lakes, one called "Büyük", 570 meters above sea level and the second called "Küçük" 530 meters above sea level, located in the plateau "Erikli" and 10 kilometers from the town of Teşvikiye.
6 - "Kushk" or Mobile House
It is located on the coast of the town of Yalova, built in 1929 by order of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in the Ottoman style and requested to be located next to the Sycamore tree. The kiosk tells that the branch of the tree is hanging over the roof of the house. One of the employees asked to cut off the branch, but Ataturk refused to move the house. It was actually moved without damaging the tree. This is called the mobile house or Yürüyen Köşk.
In 2006, the municipality of Yalova opened it as an archaeological museum that receives hundreds of visitors.
7- Yalova Museum
It is an open-air museum dedicated to the display of ancient artifacts that focus on the history and civilization of this region.
Yalova climate is hot in summer with moderate humidity, and rainy in the rest of the year. Rainfall in the months of October, November, December and January gradually decreases to the summer months.
