Studying in Wrocław

My name is Sophia Diab and I was an erasmus student in the University of Wroclaw in the second semester of 2017. I am writing this to share my experience studying there to help other erasmus student going there the next upcoming years. My experience in the University of Wroclaw was absolutely awful: the professors are really odd and I had such a difficult time dealing with them. They gave me such a hard time, they are very cruel, unfair and you just simply can't deal with them, and do not even bother going to the deans office to get some justice because you simply won't. I didnt know if it was just their nature, or if they were really just that cruel! But since I only spent a semester there I didn't give it that much attention because I knew I was leaving afterwards and not coming back.

Moving on to students and people there, I met some really nice people in Wroclaw and made lots of good friends; but that was outside of the university. The people of the university although are very narrow minded and judgemental and hateful, you don't even have to know them and they do not even have to know you, it's just their nature to judge you and look at you in that way. I did not really care about it becasue I found my way finding awesome people in erasmus parties and bars in the city. So do not feel like you do not belong in the university, people at it just mix with their class or with the people from their own countries, so just go out to bars, clubs and mix up with people outside of the university.

Let me start by saying that the city is absloutely beautiful, its nature and buildings, and it has some good places and restaurants to visit. For example, the best restaurants there are Pasibus and Whiskey & Jar, they have really good food. The clubs suck, the music is always really old from 2007 and they are always super crowded on weekends because they are small and there is only a few of them. So if you're a club kinda guy/girl do not bother becasue there is a small amount of nice big clubs nevertheless, although music is a no, at least to me. Food is fine, but more like regular. Transportation is easy, you can always find your way easily. It's nice to ride a bike, you can go anywhere by bike and also rent a bike anywhere. There are also many beautiful places to go to with a bike or to go out for a hike in the summer.

So, if I had to rate Wroclaw, I'd give it a 7.
