Why did you choose to go to Wiesbaden, Almanya?

This is the only location offered to me.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I've been living in Wiesbaden for three months. I've received 1800 Euros for all this period which can be enough, depending on where you find your accommodation. You should have with you money from home, around 600 - 700 Euros because you receive the money after a week after your arrival.

What is the student lifestyle like in Wiesbaden?

The student life in my opinion is all right. You have to buy a student card, which makes your expenses a bit lower on transportation and for buying different things for school.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Wiesbaden to other students?

Yes, I do recommend the city and the University of Wiesbaden to other students because it is a place that must be lived in.

What is the food like?

You can find any type of food there. There are super and hyper-markets with everything you want and of course a lot of restaurants and "fast foods". Also you can find a lot of BIO food if you are very selective when it comes to food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Wiesbaden?

Yes, it cost me the transportation for three days around the city to find accommodation and three days at different hotels because I had no accommodation. You should struggle to find accommodation before arriving there. I tried before arriving there too, but with no luck...

How much does it cost to live in Wiesbaden?

It costs around 600 - 700 Euros a month including all: accommodation, food, transportation, internet.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Language is not very easy to learn, it depends if you know a bit of German before or not. I did know some German before going there. Courses are free and available at the university. You should look and see when they are scheduled. Anyway you can solve all you need in English.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Wiesbaden from your city?

I went to Wiesbaden by plane. You can also go there by international buses but i recommend using the plane. It arrives in Frankfurt and from there (the airport) you take a train that goes directly to Wiesbaden railway station. You get to Wiesbaden in about 20-30 minutes by train and from there you have buses to any part of the city.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Wiesbaden?

You could go in Frankfurt at Cocoon Club. Nightlife in Wiesbaden is not so active but if you live in the students hostel there will be a lot of parties.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Wiesbaden?

I forgot the name of the restaurant, but I remember that it was in Neroberg district. It is an excellent restaurant but also very very expensive, so it depends on what you are looking for. Also you can go to downtown and there are a lot of restaurants there.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Casino, Kurhaus, Theater, Schloss Freudenberg and the churches around Wiesbaden. I also recommend the church from the Neroberg district / hill where there are other attractions to see also.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Wiesbaden in the future?

Find a place to live with a minimum of 4 months before arriving in Wiesbaden.

Take some money with you from home, because you'll need them.

Search for students discounts, it can help you a lot.

Search for the "Flohmarkt" where you can find lots of good stuff that people sell at a very good price and might be useful for you during your stay in Wiesbaden. It is also fun to take a walk there.

Ask people on the street whenever you want to know something or to get some directions because they are very kind and they speak English very well.

If you have time and money you could go to Europa Park and have the time of your life there.

Must visit their attractions and eat / drink their traditional food / drinks.
