What is it like to live in Waterloo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Boring. Boring. And boring. Outside of Octoberfest and when the kids at Laurier go ham for St Paddies NOTHING HAPPENS IN THIS CITY.

What is the student lifestyle like in Waterloo?

Can't say too much from personal experience because I got out of town for school but it involves a lot of pretending to like the school sports teams, going to one of the two bars serving the student demographic and then... I don't know, quiet nights staring at the wall I guess? Like I said, this is a pretty boring city.

How much does it cost to live in Waterloo?

Cheaper than Toronto for sure but a lot of the restaurants and downtown have gone pretty upscale and tend to serve the wealthier older demographic.

What places would you recommend visiting in Waterloo?

St. Jacobs, Elora (particularly the Gorge) and a lot of the small towns outside the city.

Is the nightlife good in Waterloo? Where is good to go?
