Experience in CEVRO Institute, Czech Republic by Isabel
Generally, what is CEVRO Institute like?
private college, good mentoring/preparation and little courses
nice atmosphere, feels more like one big family in a cozy typical Czech house
What are the tutors like?
skilled teachers with some Czech accent in their English
Are the lessons easy in CEVRO Institute?
compared to the German standards the quality of lessons are on the same level but requirements are less demanding and studying is more relaxing
Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?
a lot of regular talks by national and international recognized and known politicians, researchers and economists
the institute organizes conferences, discussions and talks to which everyone is welcomed and invited that go beyond course/lecture topics and provide possibilities to get helpful and meaningful connections
Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?
yes, lectures and courses have a high quality of teaching but demands are lower, topics focus a lot on economic terms and the connection to politics
Are there any stories you can share?
Cevro Institute organizes a dinner and party for all its students which is hosted in a big club somewhere in the city - this can be a goo opportunity to get to know other students and teachers as well which is a little bit difficult in daily life at the school (especially of you are an international student who does not have intense contact to locals)
