Junior Financial Reporter & Proofreader

Rankia Pro is seeking a junior financial reporter to cover financial markets.

We are looking for a young person willing to learn, self-starter and able to write news on financial markets and mutual funds, interview fund managers and key people in the financial industry.

The role also includes proofreading in English the news and articles written by Rankia editorial team, collaborators and freelancers. Full grasp of grammar, spelling and style rule and factual accuracy are critical. On the top of spotting mistakes we welcome a person that isn’t afraid to flip the structure of a story or ask important questions when there are holes in the story.

This is an ideal role for a young journalist with some experience in covering financial markets. We will also consider candidates with reporting experience in other subject but with a genuine interest in the markets.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day content execution, from research to editing to publication. This includes writing original content, repackaging existing content, and editing freelancers.

• Help develop and manage the editorial calendar, based on news cycles, seasonality, and consumer search trends.
