Generally, what is Technical University of Lisbon like?

This University is now University of Lisbon that includes all the faculties of previous Technical University and University of Lisbon.

There are several faculties with realtive autonomy in terms of finances and pedagogic matters.

What are the facilities like?

In the faculty Instituto Superior Técnico where I studied, there are two facilities, one in Alameda, Lisbon and a newer one in Porto Salvo, Taguspark. Tagus Park has better conditions in terms of infrastruture but Alameda is still the center of the university located in the city center and where you will most likely find all the teachers that also teach in Taguspark.

What are the tutors like?

From my experience the tutors are usually voluntary people for this matter and they are everytime nice and helfpul.

Are the lessons easy in Technical University of Lisbon?

For erasmus people there are usually some facilitations but for some courses you really have to work hard to be successfull.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

Yes and lots of them. You have to search for the courses students groups programmes, the general students association and the erasmus activities groups.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

Yes, I feel now professionally and personally prepared for the challenges of the real bussiness world.

Are there any stories you can share?

Besides hard work, drinking beer, meeting lots of people, organizing and praticipating in events, playing guitar in the tuna, working hard again, never sleeping enough? yes, my story is based on caffeine.
