Usak City
Usak city is one of the Turkish cities and is located between the Aegean region and central Anatolia.
It is characterized by its Mediterranean climate similar to that of the continental Mediterranean. The climate is hot, dry in summer, cold, wet and snowy in winter. As for its agricultural production, it is abundant because of its fertile lands. The first Turkish factory, the sugar refinery, was constructed by the private sector businessmen. These initiatives are still present today in the city of Usak.

Usak University is a public university founded in 2006 and is accredited by the Turkish Ministry of Higher Education. Usak University's colleges offer a wide range of programs for both Turkish and foreign students.
Usak is today an important and vital textile center.High quality cotton fabrics and bed linen are widely produced in various cities.Carpets and kilims traditionally woven there are among the most famous textiles in the world.All 60 villages in the province benefit from the growing popularity of kilim and thanks to the efforts of some pioneers. The works were revived by traditional colors and designs.
In recent years, kilim weaving has become a rival to tobacco cultivation as a major source of income for local families, there are many different local types of kilim design, such as namazlik, selvili namazlik, altinbas, albas, aynali kilim and Takmak kilimi, textiles are sold in Istanbul, and from there are exported all over the world.
