Generally, what is Polytechnic University of Tirana like?

In a nutshell, I would say that it is a hard experience, as engineering is expected to be, but there are plenty of other factors that makes it easy to digest.

What are the facilities like?

Classes are comfortable and adaptive for teaching. In addition, there are labs of different purposes. Furthermore, there are libraries, which are quite and comfort for studying.

What are the tutors like?

Personally, I have had a great experience with tutors. They were willing to help me and I felt comfortable every time I asked their help. They are respectful, by listening to you with patience and trying to lead you towards success.

Are the lessons easy in Polytechnic University of Tirana?

As a level of hardness, since it is engineering, it is rational to be above the average level. However, what is important is the way how the information is presented and supported. From this point of perspective, I would say that lessons are simplified a lot and can be absorbed with a little bit of effort, since lectures make sure to explain things with a solid logic.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

I have personally attended many activities organized by the university and I would say they are at the expected level depending on the nature of the activity. For instance, I have attended seminars organized by the collaboration of the university and companies, since there are also my field of interest, and I felt quite pleased. There are also other activities, such as sports, raising conscience against society problems etc.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

In general, I think that there is a good quality of teaching. I have experienced a couple of universities and the teaching level is comparatively similar to the European universities. Even the teaching materials are coherent and well formulated.

Are there any stories you can share?

The experience that I strongly remember from Polytechnic University of Tirana is when I was in the third year of the Bachelor degree, while doing the Diploma Thesis. I selected a hard theme, that is why I needed a lot of work and support to handle that. I was really pleased to find all the support I needed in the university, starting from the needed softwares, the assistance of the tutor of my diploma and also all the necessary materials. I felt released that in the end I could finish it on time and have a good result.
