Experience in Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, Kyrgyzstan by Aijamal
Generally, what is Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn like?
It is the usual University in Kyrgyzstan. The education on my Kyrgyz-European faculty is in Russian language. We also study the second language: German, French, Spanish, English.
What are the facilities like?
As I study at the Kyrgyz-European faculty I can not provide presice information about facilities in the whole University. In central building there are several computer classes where you can study if there are no classes for informatics. Wi-fi works, but not constantly and not everywhere. There is a library, very small and quiet. Without any computers, but it is allowed to take own laptops etc.
What are the tutors like?
Actually, we don't have tutors but we have supervisors. We can ask them anything we need to know that relates to study program and process.
Are the lessons easy in Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn?
In comparison with European and American system the education seems to me easier. We have lectures where lecturer dictates the material and students write after him or her.
Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?
There is a student senate that organizes some activities but they are really rare. I have never been to any of the events.
Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?
It depends on the professor and on the student. But i would give 7 out of 10.
