Experience in Roma Tre University, Italy by Alberto

Source

Generally, what is Roma Tre University like?

I think generally University of Roma Tre is a young university, because it was founded only in 1992. Therefore, describing just the Law Department, it tries to follow a modern way of teaching if compared with other public Italian universities in Rome. There are many interesting courses held in English and also several Legal Clinics which follow a learning-by-doing approach.

What are the facilities like?

There is a modern environment because buildings are new and comfortable but, despite the fact that there are not so many students, during the peak periods it is not easy to find a place for studying. Anyways I have to say that students' unions and the university administration are trying to improve the potential of the institute in this field.

What are the tutors like?

I do not know much about them.

Are the lessons easy in Roma Tre University?

They generally follow the Italian way of teaching, with the teacher speaking to many students. Difficulty of the lesson relies on the teacher you find.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

They organise interesting conferences and workshops and the University has many agreements with students organisations like ELSA, ESN, AIESEC, etc.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

Compared with other public universities, it is very good.

Are there any stories you can share?

Everything I said it is referred on the Law Department. I cannot say much about the others.

Hi Alberto, thanks for your comments I found them very useful. I was hoping to find out how difficult you found the exams to be and what you studied? Im a current student at Edinburgh with the prospect of studying law at Rome Tre too. Would really appreciate your advice.

Hi, Alberto! I am an Erasmus student from Turkey. I will be in Italy by september to study in Roma Tre. I am here to ask if you know any social media accounts or whatsapp groups where people can get to know each other? (in english, preferably). I have no idea how to meet people from miles away !
