Experience in University of Minho, Portugal by Susana

Generally, what is University of Minho like?

It's a big university with 2 campus in different cities!

At the beggining, it can be a bit tricky to find the right classroom since there are a lot of different buildings in both campus... But at the end of the week you'll know where everything is!

What are the facilities like?

They are really good! a lot of classrooms, bathrooms and 1 bar in each building! You can also have lunch in CP2 bar (sandwiches and simples dishes).

What are the tutors like?

If you're lucky, you'll have really nice tutors and teachers. Normally if you need something extra classes you can meet them at their offices and they'll help you!

Are the lessons easy in University of Minho?

It deppends what are you studying. but I can't complain about it! I really liked my teachers and the classes.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

There are a lot of activities, normally organized by the academic groups and ESN Minho. You can also find a lot of conferences and "weeks" dedicated to the different courses.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

I do think so!

Are there any stories you can share?

Every night you go out or every day you go to classes have a 90% chance of ending in a funny story!

Hi!! I am going to UoM next year... Which modules did you take when you studied there? I am unsure which would be good for myself and other Erasmus to take!
    Thanks!
