A light installation of the fifth edition of the Festival Umeå Autumn is located at the river bank, using the trees of the south of the Station Café.

The art work is named Unrequited love and was made by the artist Sofie Weibull. It was built with plexiglass and lights as materials.

She wanted to show how a tree's distress can see out into the countryside and how the tree may seem to be suffering from unrequited love, by its roots in a pulsating manner begins to glow with grief.

This work uses an organic shape that is a hybrid of a plant, trying to get the organic forms to convey an emotional expression.
