As I told you in other post, during the month of November, the fifth edition of the Festival Umeå Autumn light was inaugurated. It consisted of different light installations with love as the basis at various locations in central Umeå. Several of these light installations were placed in the Döbeln park, the park which surrounds the Umea church towards the river.

One of the most beautiful art works is Nattskog, or the Night Forest. This installation was made by the artist Kai Reichwalde. The whole illustrated with trees adorned with light that comes on in a progressive sequence.

Regarding to the artist idea,;Night Forest; reflect the story of the day and night, summer and winter, those who never meet but who are dependent on each other. The art work grows slowly at night and falls apart at dawn. Towards the;crown; of the work highlights a crown of colors. At given time 'collapse' the structure together to be reborn the next morning.
