Very close to the main museum building in Gamlia the Fishing and Maritime Museum of Vasterbotten is located. The sea industry was very important along the coast of Vasterbotten, as well as seal hunting.

For both interesting in the history and the sea life tradition, this is a great place to spent an evening. There are many examples of pictures, models and objects related to boats, ships and the sea industry.

It also include a real boat inside the building.

The only problem is that most of the texts are in Swedish.

Anyway, its collections are very interesting even though it. So don’t forget to visit it!

But remember; this museum is only open during the summer season, except for counted occasions.
