Ice love

The fifth edition of the Festival Umeå Autumn light consisted on different light installations designed by artists which involved light as a tool to reference to the love of this city. All of them were beautiful, but the one that I most liked was this one. Iskärlek, designed by Reidar Rova, represents a couple in love emerging from a block of ice. They hold the hope that, even when the cold has made inroads in Umeå, they may be in love for a long time. During the night, the ice sculpture was lighted with changeable colors. The location of this art work was in Rådhusesplananden, the street in front of the Cityhall square. This centric place was perfect to contemplate it, sorrounded by the beautiful downtown.
