Spain and Sweden are different, as you may realized from what I have been telling you the last months. One of the differences is in hobbies. For example, while in Spain most of people enjoy watching or playing football or basketball, in Sweden winter sports are the most popular ones. It is not surprising, since the winter last almost the half of the year. One of the most important activities is cross-country ski. It differs from alpine ski since in cross-country ski you are most of the time skiing in flat surface or only hilly and you ski also uphill. This is reflected in skis that are not so wide and attached to the foot, as well as to the way of skiing. There are many tracks in almost every city or village. In Umea, you can enjoy the winter and nature while doing cross-country skiing since most of them cross beautiful places of the forest and along the lake.
