One of the bad things of living in Umea is that it is so far that you need to take a plane to go almost everywhere. It usually means to make a transfer of flights and spent many hours in Arlanda airport, the main airport of Stockholm.

By general, you usually spend between 2-4 hours there. But sometimes, bad luck in the flight combinations force you to spent too much time.

For example, one of my friends bought a plane for his girlfriend to visit him during Easter. He found a good offer with Iberia from Spain to Arlanda that make them save 100 euros. But when they wanted to buy the flight to Umea they realized that the only plane this day leave at the same time she arrived to Arlanda. And the next flight leaves the next day at the same time. So, instead of waiting alone during 24h in the airport, he bought a plane to spend the day with her in the airport. So the 2 new flights cost them more than 150 euros. Sometimes offers became expensive!
