Generally, what is University of Science and Techniques of Languedoc - Montpellier II like?

The university is good and has high reputation.The work and the project the groups are working on is really good and exciting but unfortunately, the infrastructure is not at all impressive.. Few labs are good but most of them are really average or below average. Very dirty, not organized and the buildings are too old.

What are the facilities like?

People are really friendly and helpful. The city is very good and colorful but also expensive. but cheap in comparison with Paris. For English speaking students, not all but most of the youngsters speak English and within the university most professors also talk English.

What are the tutors like?

Teachers or I would say my supervisor and some people in the team whom I worked and interacted with are really good and knowledgeable. But due to the lack of good infrastructure, getting good experimental results are tough in the lab.

Are the lessons easy in University of Science and Techniques of Languedoc - Montpellier II?

This is not so easy to answer. It depends on the individual person's hard work and enthusiasm.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

The activities here was very low. The whole team meet or go out very rarely. Not much coordination between different groups I feel.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

I had come here for the internship. So I'm not the right person to comment on courses.

Are there any stories you can share?

I met a guy in Montpellier who was trying to convince people that a parrot saw his eyes and told him " I want to eat your eyes". He was saying this story so convincingly that many people believed it was true. So according to his hypothesis birds like parrots and pigeons are the most dangerous animals on Earth :D
