Experience in Lumière University - Lyons II, France by Boris
Generally, what is Lumière University - Lyons II like?
They've got two campuses, one for liberal arts, business, language, etc; one for computer science, both are quite small. I was studying in the latter and generally, I don't like it.
What are the facilities like?
Facilities are rare, at least in the Bron campus. There is a small gym, but one needs registering in their courses to enter. It's so small that virtually there's no room for activities other than courses and they've got very tight schedules. Not open for free work out. They have wierd toilets in the whole campus with everything but a pad on it. I didn't figure out how to use them.
What are the tutors like?
Tutors are good and helpful, mostly postdoctoral students in our lab.
Are the lessons easy in Lumière University - Lyons II?
They don't teach us difficult things.
Does the University organize activities; what are they like?
Not really in the Bron Campus.
Do you think the teaching is of a high quality?
I have courses there in English, the quality of which is not good; they don't seem to care much about teaching. However, a friend of mine who took both the English and the French courses, he made a comparison and concludes that the latter is way better.
