Experience in MARA University of Technology, Malaysia by Puteri Balqis

Generally, what is MARA University of Technology like?

It's well known for the cheap fees. Most people assumed it is easy to get into UiTM, actually it is not. It has a lot of faculties and courses, and that's why UiTM is almost in all states. The lecturers are nice. My focus is on UiTM Dengkil which is mainly for foundation students. It is a great university with great facilities and college.

What are the facilities like?

The facilities in UiTM Dengkil are so good. If you have problems, esp in your house (aka room), you can directly contact the KAS and they will fix it asap

What are the tutors like?

They are kind and easy to approach. You can message them during office hour and meet them in their offices.

Are the lessons easy in MARA University of Technology?

The lessons that we learnt are almost as the same with other universities. The differences is only on what semester we will learn the topic

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

Yes, A LOT of activities! Esp in UiTM Dengkil, they have cinema (almost every month), Festival for every semester. It is totally lit! You can join the dance team, busker, theatre, etc. Most of the festivals are organised by Jawatankuasa Perwakilan Kolej, as in UiTM Dengkil, there's no MPP

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

Yes, we used books that are provided by the university

Are there any stories you can share?

Enjoy your life esp in UiTM Dengkil. UiTM Dengkil is like another home to me. Currently I'm in UiTM Shah Alam, it is a great university as well, but the facilities are not so well, as it is the first univerisy in Malaysia. But it has a nice environment :)
