Erasmus Ingeniería Informática 2012/2013
Why did you choose to go to Covilhã, Portugal?
I don't know. It was a blind fate.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I was on 2nd (spring-summer) semester. I receive 350 € per month from my university + 100€ own savings. It was enough for live, travel and parties.
What is the student lifestyle like in Covilhã?
Pretty good. No matter where you live, important are the people with whom you live. Chill city, no one is in a hurry.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Covilhã to other students?
Of course.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Covilhã?
Dormitory - Residence Santo Antonio. Cost me 100€ and I got 5-10 min by foot to university.
How much does it cost to live in Covilhã?
100€ - dormitory + 150€ food + 200€ ( travel / parties).
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Covilhã from your city?
Now it's Ryanair I think. I go there by TAP Portugal ( Warsaw - Lisbon) and next by train to Covilha. I came back by bus to Porto, and Ryanair ( Porto - Paris - Warsaw).
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Covilhã?
Birras bar, Artbaro, Companha, BA and so many small and goods pubs. But now I don't remember the names.
Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Covilhã?
Don't care about anything.
