The Bronze City: Tunceli

The bronze city (Tunceli) in the middle of the Anatolian community in the east, is a rather primitive small town, with a limited population surrounded by mountains, making it a quiet and pure city, far from the hustle and bustle of civic life, you will find retaining its Turkish identity.

It has a range of springs that contain a lot of minerals, beneficial organic substances, and rich vitamins that you can take a break, relaxation and also relaxation treatment in those springs.

Fishing is one of the most important features of Tunceli because of the presence of these streams, if you want to climb the mountains, it is very suitable for this hobby because of its steady rock and slope appropriate for climbing without risk, and walk on the bridges hanging on a wonderful adventure, and enjoy seeing the sunset and sunrise, you must rush to Tongli.

Munzur park awaits you with its stunning views and all the natural scenery. There are not many castles.

1 - Munzur Vadisi Milli Park
This valley runs between the Ovacık Mountains, and in 1971 it was declared a tourist park. This natural park is a magnificent painting, the river runs on both sides and the wild forests fill the place, all over an area of 42 thousand hectares. You will also see plants and flowers that you have never seen or heard in their lives.
You can do many activities such as camping, fishing and water sports. We recommend you to visit this charming paradise as soon as possible as thousands of tourists visit it annually.

2 - Çelebi Ali Mosque
Located in the town of Pertek in the state of Tunceli, it was built in 1570 by order of Celebi Ali Pasa. White stones and Mulhouse were used in its construction, and it is characterized by a simple structure that is free of complex ornaments.

3 - Çemişgezek Castle
This historic castle is located on the banks of the Tahar Çayı River west of Çemişgezek, also in Tunceli. Established on a high plateau, there is no precise information about its history. Its history is said to date to the oratorians. The castle is still standing, but some of its sections have been demolished.

4 - Tahar Bridge or Yusuf Zia Pasa bridge 

It is located 3 km from the center of the city of Çemişgezek, and passes over the river "Tahar". In 1807 it was established by order of Yusuf Zia Pasa, and in 1856 it was restored by the governor of Diyarbakir. The bridge is known as "Tahar Bridge" or "Yusuf Zia Pasa" Bridge.

5 - Dereova Waterfall

This magnificent waterfall is located 11 km from Nazımiye, on the edge of the village of Dereova. Also known as Gelin Pınarı.
Its water falls from an altitude of 20 meters with a beautiful landscape. You can visit it in winter and summer.In winter you will be surprised to see the frozen water that resembles stalagmites and stalactites in the caves.In the summer you will enjoy watching the waterfall and enjoy the coolness of the place.You can also do many activities such as hiking in the arms of nature.

6 - Tomb of Elti Hatun
This shrine belongs to Mrs. "Eli Khatun", the younger sister of one of the governors of the Aquinas, "Hasan uzun", located in the center of the city of Mazgirt, dating back to the fourteenth century AD.

This shrine tells the story that Ms. Eli Khatun is seriously ill and tells her big brother, "Hasan uzun": "Brother, I am afraid of many snakes, so do not bury me in the dust." Her brother accepted this condition, and when she died, he built a shrine for her, placed it in a grave and hung it with an iron chain. A few days later, he opened the grave and found a large snake that damaged it and said, "My sister is inevitable," and then buried it in the ground.

When you visit this shrine you will see inside a thick iron chain above her grave and next to her mother's grave.

7 - Elti Hatun Mosque
It is also located in the city center of Mazgert, and dates back to the year 1252 AD according to the literature on it.

8 - BagerPasa Mountain and Krater Lake
Krater Lake is located on the slopes of the Bagerpasa mountain at an altitude of 3,200 meters above sea level. This lake is a sacred place for the people of the region. Every year they are visited, the sacrificial animals are sacrificed and the supplication is prayed at their banks.

When you visit the lake in any of the seasons of the year you will see clear white snow then because the snow never melts.

9 - Pertek Castle
It is located on the Murat River on a large, high rock within the boundaries of the Kiban artificial dam lake. The Ottomans used it and restored it, and it is still standing today.

10 - Digging caves

The Bronze City: Tunceli

These caves are located in Çemişgezek. They are carved in a strange and strange way in the form of small rooms within the rocks of the high mountains. There are no writings or drawings indicating its history because of the sabotage.

As summer enters, tourists from both inside and outside Turkey are increasingly interested in the town of Ovacik, which is famous for its cold springs and picturesque nature.

Ovacik springs flowing among the rocks and small waterfalls are sacred places for the local population, as well as declared a first-class nature reserve by the Directorate of Nature Protection in 2001.

The springs are 80 km from the center of Tunceli and 17 km from the town center of Ovacik, attracting thousands of tourists from inside and outside Turkey to enjoy the beauty of nature surrounded by high mountains.

In summer the climate is hot, and in winter it becomes cold with snow in winter, humidity is almost zero, it is very dry, because it is located on a valley surrounded by mountains and a confluence of rivers.

Education in Tunceli:

The University of Tunceli has many university disciplines such as economics and various fields of engineering.

Animal production is one of the most important economic pillars of the city of Tunceli, with all its products from dairy and cheese production, and processed and fresh meat and exported outside Tunceli regionally and internationally, comes in second place the cultivation of different types of crops, mainly wheat, barley and corn.

The nearest airport is Tunceli, approximately 45 kilometers away, with a road network linking it to other Turkish cities.
