Why did you choose to go to Trollhättan, Sweden?

The University is quite new, the city is very close to Gothenburg (the 2nd largest city in Sweden) and my programme was the best I could choose.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I got around 800-900 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Trollhättan?

Party, eating, activites... There are private student parties everyday!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Trollhättan to other students?

Of course! Good university programmes, closeness to Gothenburg, modern University and nice teachers!

What is the food like?

Traditional Swedish restaurants, but also Indian, Sushi, Thai among others.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Trollhättan?

No, it didn't!

How much does it cost to live in Trollhättan?

From around 250-400 euros per month for an apartment.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, there are language courses. Almost all of the people speak English though. Swedish is a funny language to learn. If you know Swedish, you will most probably understand Norwegian and Danish too.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Trollhättan from your city?

By train.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Trollhättan?

Lipz or Butlers!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Trollhättan?

Truly Traditional (an Indian restaurant) and the Sushi restaurants. There are great pizzerias too!

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The area by the river, the SAAB museum among others!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Trollhättan in the future?

Just have fun and enjoy the Western parts of Sweden! Visit the archipelago as well!
